CUFFS

The opening sequence for a TV show is everything for first time viewers it can put them off, the first 20 minutes can decide whether its no good or slow so make sure your opening sequence is inviting.
The opening sequence appeals to viewers who seek action.

At the start it pans from the ocean onto Brighton and shows the action already in the first 14 seconds of the show. This is telling you what to expect during your time engaging with the program.

In the opening scene it shows that Brighton doesn't really respect the law as much as other countys in the UK do. For example there is multiple scenes of graffiti and one of police having to get involved near the start. In the title sequence it makes it look very dirty with the way they have made it yellow with black dots around the screen acting like dirt.

In Cuffs there are different audiences for different characters for example the main character is gay, therefore gay viewers may stick around to see how they have portrait it.

I think this may be a bit to much for kids to see in the daytime however it could be a lot worse for example when it shows the scene of the poor bloke who has gone and cut his wrists they could of shown a lot more gruesome scenes, so at a point of when this scene was made i definitely think this was in mind.
